Debbie Austein Sesher, 63, of Millington, TN passed away September 27, 2017. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Saturday (Sep 30) from 10:00am until noon at the Millington Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Ed Sesher; daughters, Whitney (Bruce) Hudgins and Angie (Adam) Pike; mother, Roberta Austein; brothers, George “Skip” Austein and Mike Austein; three grandchildren. Alvana Kathryn McDaniel

Alvana McDanielAlvana Kathryn McDaniel, born May 18, 1917 in Shattuck, OK went to be with the Lord September 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. “Lo” McDaniel, parents, Kathryn and John Wassenmiller; brother, A.J. Wassenmiller; sisters, Ophelia Nobles and Ottilie Wassenmiller; daughter-in-law, Marylou McDaniel. She leaves her daughter, Anne McDaniel McCarver; son, Dale  McDaniel (Diane); son-in-law, Tim McCarver; five granddaughters, Kathy McCarver Root, Kelly McCarver, Katie McDaniel Hughes (Ryan), Bebe McDaniel Wilder (Keith), Meg McDaniel Ford (Brian); 10 great-grandchildren, Beau and Leigh Root; Porter, Will and Duncan Blue Hughes; Emma Kate, Anna and Daniel Wilder; Maley and Buck Ford. Alvana was always well-loved, even as a young lady when she was crowned Miss Shattuck in 1935. She married Lo in 1936 and moved to Rosemark where she was an active member of Richland ARP Church for over 80 years, a volunteer Pink Lady, church Circle hostess and dear friend to many. She was a devoted wife, avid cook, and beloved grandmother who was full of love, life and always had a listening ear. The family will receive friends Friday (Sep 29) from 1:00pm until the service at 3:00pm at Richland ARP Church in Rosemark. Interment to follow in Rosemark Cemetery. Any memorials may be made to Richland ARP Church, 8658 Rosemark Rd, Millington, TN 38053 and specify for the cemetery or church.

Joseph E. Phelps, Jr.

Joseph E. Phelps, Jr., 53, of Millington, TN passed away September 18, 2017. He was an Army veteran, a Boy Scout, supported the Munford Band and was a member of East Acres Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jane Phelps; son, Jacob Phelps; mother, Patricia Passey; sisters, Vicki Lynn, Elaine Pauley, Helen Battdorf; brother, James Phelps. The family will receive friends Tuesday (Oct 10) from 5pm until the service at 7:00pm at the Millington Chapel. Interment with military honors will be Wednesday at 11:30am at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

John William Frantz - USMC ret.

Gunnery Sergeant John William Frantz, 78, of Millington, TN passed away September 24, 2017. He was  retired of the USMC having served three tours in Vietnam. He was also a member of the American Legion for 52 years, the VFW, DAV, FRA, and the Military Order of the Cootie. He is survived by his wife Crystal Marie Richeson-Frantz; daughters, Valerie, Amy and Ellen; sons, John (Mary) Frantz, Steven, Bruce; sister, Betty; brother, Michael Frantz; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Bing, Bang, Zing and Baby Zang, and Puddles. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah and a sister, Catherine. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 1 at the VFW Post #7175, 4681 Cuba Millington Rd., Millington, TN 38053

Larry Wilson Baines, 68, of Millington, TN passed away September 11, 2017. He was a veteran of the Army who served in the Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Zenaida Baines; son, Andrew (Carole) Baines; two sisters, Peggy Futrell and Becky Twine; two grandchildren, Liam and Zoey.
