Roger D. Linkous, Sr.

Roger D. Linkous, Sr.  82,  of Memphis, TN passed away June, 28, 2017. Mr. Linkous was retired from the US Navy 1953- 1973, a member of Millington Church of Christ since 1970 where he served as an Elder for 39 years, worked at Sharp Manufacturing Company from 1979-2004, former teacher at Millington Central High School 1974-1978.  He was preceded in death by his parents John Terry and Eula Salyer Linkous.  Roger is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Louise Reynolds Linkous; daughters, Carla Linkous Maxwell (Adrian Kosky) roger-linkous-obit-colorof Daylesford, Australia, Valerie Linkous Raiford of Cordova, TN and Amy Linkous McConville (Rick McConville) of Cordova, TN; son, Damon Linkous of Cordova, TN; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 1  from 12:00 pm until the service time at 2:00 pm at the Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Interment will be in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway.  Memorials may be made to Hope Works, Memphis, TN.

Michael Lewis Brand

brandveteran-flagMichael Lewis Brand of Germantown, TN passed away June 28, 2017 after a long illness. He attended Memphis Central High School and the University of Memphis and served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Brand; daughter, Lindsay Brand; son-in-law, Steve Seivert; sister, Bonnie Sampson; her husband, Larry Sampson; nephews, Michael Sampson and Eric Sampson. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.

Milton E. Smith, 76, of Atoka, TN passed away June 25, 2017. Mr. Smith retired from the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Smith; daughter, Nicki D. (Robert) McDaniel; sons, Denny K. (Renee’) Smith and Christopher L. (Ainslie) Smith; five grandchildren, Kelsey McDaniel, Ariel McDaniel, Reagan Smith, and Caulder Smith. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caitlin Smith. The family will receive friends Wednesday (June 28) from 10:30am until the service at 11:30am at the Millington Chapel. Interment to follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.

Sarah Ann Wright

Sarah Ann Wright, 85, passed away June 23, 2017 at Covington Care Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and longtime member of Crosspointe Baptist Church. She was the proud military wife of Leonard Wright, who preceded her in death. Her son, Ronnie Wright also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fee; her brother, Hubert Botts; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, from 12:00-1:00 p.m., with funeral service at 1 p.m., at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.

She served in the US Air Force for 10 years and is a communicant of St. William Catholic Church in Millington. She is survived by her husband, Paul Michael O’Connor; daughters, Margaret Ann Everroad of Arlington, TN, Rene Hughes Delashmit of Brighton, TN, Julie Marie Morganelli of Atoka, TN, Anne Marie O’Connor Schwarz of PA; sons, Perry Bryce Hughes of TX, Paul Michael O’Connor, Jr. of PA, Thomas Edward O’Connor of PA; brother, James R. Taylor, Jr. of Germantown, TN; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5pm – 8pm with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 12:00pm at St. William Catholic Church in Millington. Interment to follow with military honors in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
