Mary Frances Long Mosley

Mary Frances Long Mosley, 89, passed away  April 29th, 2017. She was born May 21, 1927 in Troy, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Vernon Mosley and her children, David Mosley, Verna M. Illes, and Judy C. Delancey. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Mosley Ashley of Bartlett, TN; sisters, Millie L. Jones of Booneville, MS, Marilyn S. Hooten of Livingston, TX, Carolyn K. Whitlock of Millington, TN; brothers, James H. Long of Millington, TN, William L. Long of Millington, TN, Frank R. Long of Troy, TN, and Calvin W. Long of Millington, TN; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Shelby Forest Baptist Church where she served the Lord for many years. Interment to follow in Shelby Forest Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shelby Forest Baptist Church or Methodist Hospice Residence.

Thomas Rainey McConnico

Thomas Rainey McConnico, age 83 of Germantown, TN peacefully transitioned from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rebecca “Becky” Blackburn McConnico, 3 children, Leeann McConnico McNinch (Raymond), Susan McConnico Sanders (Bobby) and Thomas O’Neal McConnico, (Tina), 10 Grandchildren as well as countless other family members and friends. Tom retired from the insurance business after over 45 years.  He was honored as the Professional Insurance Association’s “Company Man of the Year” twice.  He served as a Shelby County Probation Officer and also named Probation Officer of the Year.  He attended University of Sewanee and Memphis State/University of Memphis and was a loyal U of M fan. He was a Korean War Veteran and an elder at The Redeemer Evangelical Church in Germantown TN where he was a longtime faithful member.  Visitation will be held Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Redeemer Evangelical Church located at 3100 South Houston Levee, Germantown, TN.  The Celebration of Life service will be immediately following visitation.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Redeemer Church 3100 So. Houston Levee, Collierville, TN 38139 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Elizabeth M. Hartley

Elizabeth M. Hartley, 74, of Millington, TN, passed away April 22, 2017. She was born in Stanton, VA and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and earned an associates degree at Florida Junior College. She proudly served in the US Navy and worked for the State of Tennessee; a member of First United Methodist Church, TOPS, and loved being a part of Playhouse 51. She was the widow of Pat Hartley and is survived by her children, Rhonda (James) Jones of Drummonds, TN and Sean (Lisa) Lawrence of Arnold, MD; sister, Patricia Callahan of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Megan Jones, Taylor Jones and Drew Lawrence. The family will receive friends Wednesday (Apr 26) from 2:00pm until the memorial service at 3:00pm at the Millington Chapel. The family asks any memorials be made to First United Methodist Church - Millington.

Nancy Lee Stover

Stover 10002Nancy Lee Stover, 66, retired Civil Service worker for the Navy, of Millington, TN passed away April 17, 2017. She loved her church family and friends and all children. The family will receive friends Saturday (Apr 22) from 1:00pm until the service at 3:00pm at First Baptist Church, 5010 West Union Rd, Millington, TN. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery, Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00am. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert L. Stover; infant son, Robert Stover, Jr.; parents, John VanDoren and LaVerle VanDoren; sister, Darlene Lessard. She is survived by her sisters, Sherry Wegner of Graham, WA, Christine Ortiz of Thurmont, MD, and Theresa Riker of Front Royal, VA; brothers, Danny VanDoren and David VanDoren both of Front Royal, VA; 16 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and great-nephews; grandchildren, Lisa Apperson, Amy Rovelto and Ryan Rovelto.  The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Lavada Mae King Whitlock Addison

Lavada Mae King Whitlock Addison, 86, of Millington, TN, passed away April 18, 2017. She enjoyed playing the piano and the organ, square dancing, and was the past owner of Lavada’s Estate Sales in Millington. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Jimmy Whitlock of 32 yrs and J.T. Addison of 27 yrs. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Mike) Wade of Memphis, TN; sons, Bobby Whitlock of Austin, TX, James Nathan Whitlock of Memphis, TN; step-son Joey Addison of Munford, TN; brother, James King of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday (Apr 20) from 5:00pm – 8:00pm with a service Friday at 11:00am at the Millington Chapel.
