Carol Newton Perkins

Carol Newton Perkins, 76, of Millington, TN passed away April 22, 2016. She was a communicant of St. William Catholic Church in Millington. She loved to travel and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy S. Perkins; parents, Alexander and Rosetta Newton; sisters, Georgia, Mary, Wanda, Louella, Shirley, and Gartha. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya (Ricky) Pike, Sheryle Westmoreland, Daphne (Cary) Bawcum, and Rhonda (Victor) Cravens; brother, Alexander (Dorothy) Newton; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Tuesday (Apr 26) from 5pm until 8pm at the Millington Chapel.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10am at the Church of the Nativity, 5955 St. Elmo Rd, Bartlett, TN. Interment will be Thursday at 10:45am at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Logan James Steele

Logan James Steele, infant son of Kerry and Mandi Steele,  passed away April, 18, 2016 at LeBonheur Children's Hospital. Survivors also include a brother Wesley and a sister Makenna; his grandparents, Bill & Judy, Sherry, Johnny & Arlene; aunts, uncles and lots of cousins.  Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at West Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Lutts United Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Katie Steele P.O. Box 397 Waynesboro, TN 38485. Funds will be used to rebuild the church which was destroyed in a December tornado.

Kathleen Banister Bryant

Kathleen Banister Bryant, 76, died April 16, 2016 at Methodist Hospice Residence. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker, a Communicant of St. William Catholic Church, longtime Secretary of the Women's Club, a seamstress, and an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Tuesday, April 19, 5-7pm at the Millington Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at St. William Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.  She leaves her husband of 54 years, Paul E. Bryant; daughters, Jan O'Donnell (Brian), Kay Helmbrecht (Steve), Lindsey Barrett (Robert); grandchildren, Walker, Liam, Meghan, and Mary Elizabeth O'Donnell, Michael and Allison Helmbrecht, Paul and Allen Barrett. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Banister. Memorials in her honor may be made to the West Clinic or St. William Catholic Church.

Marvin Samuel Woodward, 75 of Millington, TN a retired electrician passed away April 14, 2016. He is survived by his sister Gladys Ferrer of McDonough, GA and brother, David N. Woodward of Millington, TN. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Monday, April 18 from 5 - 8 pm and the service will be 11 am Tuesday, April 19 all at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Sharon Kaye Allen

Sharon Kaye Allen, 47, job clerk at Hoar Construction passed away April 12, 2016. She loved her family, was proud of her work, and enjoyed caring for those around her. Ms. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Barbara Maxwell; a son, James William Allen, Jr.; and a four-legged child, Roxie Allen-Pearl. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Allen of Memphis, TN; partner-in-life, Jonathan Pearl; sisters, Judy Strom of Portland, OR and Barbara Maxwell of Memphis, TN; and her four-legged “child”, Brodie Allen-Pearl. The family will receive friends Saturday at 11:00 am at the Millington Chapel. Private interment.
