Ginger Clowes

Ginger Clowes, 64, of Drummonds, TN passed away November 29, 2015. Ginger was
co-owner of DozerTrax USA, retired FedEx employee, and a member of Crosspointe
Baptist Church and the prestigious “Teal Magnolias”. The family will receive friends
at a catered reception Tuesday (Dec 1) from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the
Millington Chapel with a service Wednesday at 11 am at Crosspointe Baptist Church.
Interment to follow  in Quito Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her son,
Russel Lee Henley. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Clowes; children, Stephen
Scott Henley of Memphis, TN and Amy Karen Clowes of Drummonds, TN; brothers, Hal
Avery Perry of Charleston, SC and Jere Warner Perry of Humboldt, TN; four
grandchildren. The family asks any memorials be made to the Baptist Boys Ranch in
Millington, TN, Crosspointe Baptist Church Building Fund, or the American Cancer
Society.

CPO Walter C. Gholson, Jr. (USN, Ret.)

Gholson (2)Chief Petty Officer Walter C. Gholson, Jr. (USN, Ret.), 70, passed away at his home in Millington, TN, surrounded by his loved ones, on November 23, 2015. Walter served in the US Navy over 20 years, during which time he was stationed on Midway Atoll in support of the Vietnam war, on Guam for two years, and wintered over at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. He also retired from the Federal Aviation Administration, where he maintained radar and computer systems at Memphis International Airport in Memphis, TN. CPO Gholson was born on June 5, 1945 in Albuquerque, NM to Walter C. Gholson, Sr. and Eva Irene Gholson. He was raised in Poplar Bluff, MO, and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1963 before joining the Navy. On July 13, 1968 he married Judy Elder of Poplar Bluff, MO. Walter was a member of American Legion Post #153 and an avid private pilot who traveled widely, most recently to Wiseman, AK north of the Artic Circle. Walter is survived by his wife, Judy Gholson, spouse of 47 years; their son, Eric Gholson of Millington , TN; daughter, Amanda Hosman and husband, Eric of Memphis, TN; brothers, Ken Gholson and partner, Evelyn Starks of Liberty Hill, TX, John "Jack" Gholson and his wife, Sharon of Poplar Bluff, MO and Dave "Roger" Gholson and wife, Lorey of Poplar Bluff, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley McIver, and brother, William Gholson. The family will receive friends at a catered reception from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, November 30 and  funeral services on Tuesday, December 1 at 9 a.m. all the Munford Funeral Home - Millington Chapel.  Burial with full military honors at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery immediately following the service. The service will be officiated by Chaplain Mike Potter.

Vivian Owen Montgomery

Vivian Owen Montgomery, 81, of Millington, TN passed away November 24, 2015. Vivian
was a retired Tennessee State Park employee. The family will receive friends at
a catered reception Friday (Nov 27) from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Millington
Chapel with a private service to follow.  She was preceded in death by her husband,
James “O.T.” Montgomery; parents, Archie and Rosa Owen; brother, Nathan Owen. She is
survived by her children, Dr. Melinda J. (Lin) Montgomery of Chesapeake, VA, James
Alan (Rose) Montgomery of Fort Pierce, FL and Timothy Lee (Sherri) Montgomery of
Millington, TN; sisters, Muriel Cagle of Covington, TN and Colleen Braithwaite of
Millington, TN; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Marcus), Jeremy (Elaine), Emily, Jake,
Laura, Jared, and Kerrie; four great-grandchildren: Trey, Owen, Logan, and J.J.. In
lieu of flowers, the family asks you honor her love of books and children by

Robert "Bobby" Medford

Robert "Bobby" Medford, 79, of Millington, Tn, retiree from the Navy Exchange, passed away November 19, 2015.  Mr. Medford was a member of First Baptist Church and

the Millington Masonic Lodge #671.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, George Medford and Bill Medford.  He is survived by his companion of 35 years, Margaret Sanders

and a brother, James (Leticia) Medford.  The family will receive friends at a catered reception Saturday (Nov 21) from 1:00pm  until the service at 2:00pm at the Millington Chapel.

Interment to follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.

John Alvis Morgan

John Alvis Morgan, 92, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. Born January 30, 1923
in Leaksville, NC, Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Leo
Morgan. He was the son of Robert and Ila Morgan. He was a retired Master Chief from
the Navy where he served our country for 24 years. He was a man of God who lived out
his faith and touch the lives of all those around him. He is survived by his sons
Aaron (Leanna) Morgan of Johnson City, TN, Gary (Johni) Morgan of Nashville, TN;
granddaughters, McKenna and Story; nephew Del (Dana-Jackson, Taylor) Dobbs. The
family will receive friends and share memories in a combined visitation/gathering
Thursday (Nov 19) from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm at the Millington Chapel. Military honors
will be rendered at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to
