Mary "Ms. Pete" Krosp, 94, homemaker, of Millington, died April 28, 2015 at her residence. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, May 2 at Hampton Memorial United Methodist Church. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Ms. Krosp was a chartered member of Hampton Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Krosp, daughter, Sandy Turner, son, James C. Krosp. She leaves one son, Larry Krosp; one sister, Audrey Clark; one brother, Robert Horne; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hampton Memorial United Methodist Church.

Tonja Sue Cox

Tonja Sue Cox, 53, of Memphis, TN passed away April 20, 2015. She worked for the
IRS and was a member of the Rainbow Girls and the Eastern Star. She was preceded
in death by her father, James Buford Cox. She is survived by her mother, Lois
Cox; sisters, Denise Cox and Teresa Cox Crum, both of Memphis, TN; brother, James
D.Cox of Memphis, TN; three nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces;
six great-nephews. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Friday
(Apr 24) from 1 pm until the memorial service at 2 pm at the Millington
Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the
Diabetes Association.

Jimmy Clifton "Cliff" Mackey

Jimmy Clifton “Cliff” Mackey, 31, of Atoka, TN died April 18, 2015 in Memphis, TN.
Cliff was an ammonia bargeman with Southern Towing before his current job
delivering heavy equipment for NES. He is survived by his parents, Pat and Rhonda
Mackey; children, James Colton Mackey and Emaleigh Rae Mackey; sister,
Elizabeth Mackey; grandparents, Jimmie and Barbara Rhodes of Brighton, TN; aunt
and uncle, Johnny and Patsy Few of Bells, TN, Terry and Sue Rhodes of Bartlett, TN. He
was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda and his grandparents, Earl C. and Athena
Mackey. Cliff loved his family and many friends and was a proud father. He never met
a stranger. He loved fishing and motorcycles. The family will receive friends at a
catered reception Tuesday (Apr 21) from 5 pm – 8 pm atthe Millington Chapel with a
service Wednesday at  11:00 am at the Millington Chapel. Interment to follow in
Rosemark Cemetery. He was loved and will be greatly missed. BIG GUY, BIG HEART, BIG HUGS!

Dorothy Hanks Whitehorn

Dorothy Hanks Whitehorn, 91, of Bartlett, TN passed away April 16, 2015. The widow
of Charles Whitehorn, she is survived by her daughter, Charline Daugherty;
two grandchildren, Michelle (Shawn) Weiser and Charles (Pam) Daugherty;
five great-grandchildren, Nick, Landon, Noah, Jonah and Kellan. The family
will receive friends at a catered reception Saturday (Apr 18) from 11:30 am until
the service at 1:00 pm at the Millington Chapel. Interment to follow in
Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.

Evelyn Virginia Jones Roberson

Evelyn Virginia Jones Roberson,born February 18, 1925 entered her heavenly home on
April 11, 2015 while surrounded by family. Evelyn was preceded in death by her
parents, Deliah Cannon Jones & Milford R. Jones, her sisters, Bonnie Jones, Patsy
Jones and Lola Jones Lyons, her bothers, Thomas Jones and Joseph Jones, her sons,
Allen Roberson, Jr. and Frank Roberson. Evelyn’s beloved husband of 53 years,
Allen Boyd Roberson, better known as ‘BB’ to many, died 20 years ago January 16, 1995.
Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Mary Cunniff and June Chipp,
her daughters, Beverly Roberson Wade, June Roberson Gilliam (Fred), Elaine Roberson
Cartwright (Ed), Ruth Roberson Nesbit (Joe), and her son, James Roberson (Charlotte
Hampton). In addition, she leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren,
and 8 great-great-grandchildren who all lovingly knew her as “Memaw”. Evelyn was a
retired school bus driver for Shelby County Schools for over 30 years serving
Millington High and EE Jeter Elementary. Evelyn was a member of the Order of the
Eastern Star, Millington Lodge. She loved gardening, canning, quilting, reading and
cooking. Her specialty was Chicken and Dumplings, which she always made for the
Annual Homecoming at Shelby Forest Baptist Church. Her daughters, whom are still
members of the church, have carried on this tradition. Services will be held at
Shelby Forest Baptist Church, Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at 1207 Locke Cuba
Rd, Millington, TN with the Rev. Duffy Guyton officiating. A visitation and reception
will be held after the interment in the reception hall at the church. In lieu of
flowers, the family asks any memorials be made to Shelby Forest Baptist Church or
a charity of their choice.
