Mr. J.B. Parker, age 96, passed away Thursday April 19, 2018 at Providence Assisted Living in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 21, 2018 from 12 o'clock noon until service time beginning 2:00 p.m. at Hollywood Baptist Church near Sledge, MS. Interment will follow in Longtown Cemetery, Longtown, MS.

Mr. Parker was a retired farmer, a member of Hollywood Baptist Church, beloved father, grand father, great & great great grand father, avid gardener. Served his country in the Navy during WWII.

Those left to cherish Mr. Parker's memory include his daughter Lorrie Workman (Bob) of Sledge, MS; two sons James "Dickie" Parker (Lynda) of Crenshaw, MS; Ralph Parker (Carolyn) of Clinton, MS; one son-in-law Robert Haggins of Lexa, AR; Eight Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and two Great-great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Violet Parker, one daughter Patsy Haggins, his parents Ben & Ada Parker, one sister Robbie Carson and four brothers Carson, Ray, Leon & Edward Parker.

Mrs. Marinee Pennington

Vance, MS

Mrs. Marinee Pennington, age 93, passed away at her residence on Sunday April 8, 2018. The family will hold a Graveside Service on Thursday April 12, 2018 beginning 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins Family Cemetery located near Sumner, MS. The interment will follow in Jenkins Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Pennington was a member of Webb Baptist Church, Webb 20th Century Club, a Cub Scout Den Mother , avid gardener and loved outdoor activities. She was also a retired Home Economics Teacher for West Tallahatchie High School.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son James Pennington (Cindy) of Vance, MS; two brothers Elmon Thomas (Bonnie) of Tupelo, MS; Edward Thomas (Carol) of Duck Hill, MS; four grandchildren Anjanette Pennington Powers (Shane) of Cleveland, MS; Michael Bolton Flautt Jr of Denver, CO; Allie Benjamin Flautt (Emily) of Charleston, MS; Clansey Marinee Flautt of Houston, TX; five great grandchildren and one son-in-law Michael Bolton Flautt Sr of Swan Lake, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband James Green Pennington Sr; one daughter Hedy Pennington Flautt; her parents Allie & Ethel Thomas Sr and two brothers A.G. & Edwin Thomas.

Mrs. Marlene Childress, age 66, passsed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2018 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 21, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel in Marks, MS with a Graveside Service to follow 2:00 p.m. at Lambert Cemetery in Lambert, MS. Interment will also be at Lambert Cemetery.

Mrs. Childress is survived by her husband Dave L. Childress Sr. of Shaw, MS; two daughters Shelly Moorman (Robert) of Greenville, MS; Lisa Dobbins (John) of Greenville, MS; one son David Loyd Childress of Walls, MS; nephew Anthony Wood of Shaw, MS; four sisters Juanita Ledford (Pete) of Pontotoc, MS; Shirley Butler of Southaven, MS; Jeanette Bridgeman of Southaven, MS; Vivian Bridgeman (Edward) Friars Point, MS; Six Grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer & Mary Tucker, one daughter Alice Childress, one sister Grapel Owens and one brother Johnny Tucker.

Mr. Henry Colin Campbell

Batesville, MS

Mr. Henry Colin Campbell, age 72, passed away Sunday March 11, 2018 at Diversicare in Batesville, MS. The family will hold a Memorial Service on Saturday March 17, 2018 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Abundant Light Church 7267 Pope-Crowder Rd. Pope, MS.

Mr. Campbell was a mechanic.

He is survived by four sons Chris Campbell (Billie Jo) of Locke Station, MS; Henry Cole Campbell of TX; Bobby Campbell (Kim) of FL; Henry Colin Campbell of FL; Eleven Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Clay & Mary Alice Campbell and two brothers Maurice Dale & J.L. Campbell.

Austin, Crowder, MS; two sons, Gerald (Kim) Austin, Jr., of  Batesville, MS and Dennis (Cindy) Austin, of  Lambert, MS; two daughters, Kathy  (Delane) Berryhill of Batesville, MS and Annette (Jimmy) Clemons of Saltillo, MS; one stepson Jeff (Dina)Franks;  thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Austin is preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Clyde Austin; four brothers and five sisters; one grandson Charlie Glen Berryhill.

Mr. Jimmy Fuller, age 65, passed away Friday evening February 16, 2018 due to an accidental drowning. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until service time beginning 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment to follow in Longtown Cemetery, Longtown, MS.

Mr. Fuller was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener also he was a retired farmer.

Those who are left to cherish his memory include his wife Pearl Dykes Fuller of Sledge, MS; three daughters Shelia Fuller Waldo (Albert) of Cabot, AR; Brenda Fuller of Sledge, MS; Jeanette Nix (Johnny) of Jackson, MS; four sons Jimmy Fuller of Clarksdale, MS;Daniel Fuller of Portland, OR; Matt Fuller of Vancleave, MS; Robert Fuller (Kelly) of Sledge, MS; grandchildren Bryan Fuller, Dustin Ray, Logan Ray, and Brandon Childress; two nephews Timothy and Chris Fuller; two sisters Betty Joe Fuller and Rosie Lee Fuller both of Tunica, MS; his twin brother Tommy Fuller (Erma) of Hernando, MS; seven great granchildren. Mr. Joe Alvin Nelson, age 61, passed away Tuesday afternoon January 23, 2018 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN, The family will receive friends on Sunday January 28, 2018 from 12 o'clock noon until service time beginning 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery located near Pope, MS.

Mr. Nelson was a fisherman and an adventurous man.

Survivors include his daughter Tracye Moore (Bubba) of Crowder, MS; sons Michael Nelson of Como, MS; Billy Nelson of Lambert, MS and Chris Nelson of Lambert, MS; one sister Carolyn Nelson Sigler (Mike) of Hernando, MS; one brother Ricky C. Nelson (Tena) of Senatobia, MS; two grandchildren Jeremy McGee and Eathan Scott Moore; one great grandchild Aubree McGee. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley Dianne Nelson, his father Charles Nelson and his mother Eloise Nelson; two brothers Royce Raymond Nelson and David Nelson.

Mrs. Patsy Ann Funderburg Patterson

Mrs. Patsy Ann Funderburg Patterson, age 72, passed away early Tuesday  morning January 23, 2018 at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston, MS. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m.  until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday January 26, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until service time beginning 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment will follow in Lambert Cemetery.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of McIvor Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. Known as Ms. Pat by the community of Courtland where she operated a dairy bar there for a few years. Also worked at Garan Inc. in Lambert, MS for over twenty years.

Survivors include her son Gary Patterson ( Donna) of Courtland, MS; daughters Lorena Jo Steed, TX; Linda Cobb of Lambert, MS; Shirley Applewhite of Winona, MS; sister Peggy Moss  (Norman) of Earle, AR; Grand daughter Cakyra Cianna Patterson of Coutrland, MS. Preceded in death by her husband Dennis Patterson, parents Hiram & Myrtle Funderburg, daughters Sherry Lynn Patterson and Allison Nicole Patterson, sisters Shirley Coleman, Louise Taylor and Mary McIntire , brother Claude Funderburg.

Mrs. Minnie Margaret Renfroe Covington, age 79, passed away Friday evening January 19, 2018 at her residence in Belen, MS. Mrs. Covington, a beloved mother and grandmother, was a graduate of Carr Central in Vicksburg, MS, had a MT degree Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN; Registry American Society of Clinical Pathologist, Bachelor of Science Delta State University and she was a retired Medical Technologist for Indian Health Services.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters Amanda Belle Covington of Logsden, OR; Callie Courtney Covington of Taylor, MS; two brothers James Lloyd Renfroe Jr. & Jerry Lynn Renfroe both of Vicksburg, MS; nephew John Whitman Covington (Mary) of Elkmont, AL; five grandchildren Jeffrey William Laurenzo Jr (Ashley), Rosanna Sun Dingeldein, Marlowe Margaret Barrett, Cocoa Rae Barrett and Leo Martin Poli-Covington.
