Mr. Tom Hayzlett

Marks, MS

Mr. Tom Hayzlett, age 72, passed away Wednesday afternoon March 22, 2017 at his residence in Crenshaw, MS. The family will hold a memorial service  on Tuesday March 28, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m., Hollywood Baptist Church in Sledge, MS. and will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hayzlett was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church, an outdoors man, a hands on type guy and a slot tech supervisor for Isle of Capri Casino in Lula, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Hayzlett of Crenshaw, MS., one daughter Christine Hayzlett of Crenshaw, MS., one son Thomas J. Hayzlett Jr of Oxnard, CA., one sister Dorothy White of Myrtle Creek, OR., one brother Eddie Schartner of Myrtle Creek, OR., five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Hayzlett was preceded in death by his parents, John & Gladys Hayzlett, and two brothers, Wayne Springstead & Dick Schartner.

Mr. James Wayne Franks

Marks, MS

Mr. James Wayne Franks, age 54, passed away Tuesday morning March 21, 2017 at Merit Health in Clarksdale, MS. The family will begin receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home on Thursday March 23, 2017. Interment to follow in Crowder Cemetery.

Wayne enjoyed fishing, watching T.V. and was a roofer.

Mr. Franks is survived by his son, Jerry Wayne Scoggins of Walnut, MS., his parents Gerald & Linda Austin of Lambert, MS., two brothers Jeff Franks of Courtland, MS., "Lil" Gerald (Kim) Austin Jr. of Batesville, MS., and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Franks, his father James David Franks, grandparents David & Catherine Franks and Loyce & Ruby Hamm.

Mrs. Virginia Schiele

Marks, MS.

Mrs. Virginia Schiele, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening March 07, 2017 at Quitman County Health & Rehab in Marks. The family will begin receiving friends on Friday March 10, 2017 from 12:00 noon until service time 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lambert, MS. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, Gore Springs, MS. one hour past the service dismissal.

Mrs. Schiele was a homemaker, loved to garden and was an exceptional cook. She was a member of Lambert Baptist Church where she was always faithful and active. Member of The Eastern Star in Marks, and a member of The Soil Conservation Ladies Earth Day.

She is survived by her two sons Max (Joan) Schiele Jr. of Lambert, MS., Danny (Suzanne) Schiele of Lambert, MS., one brother Bryan (Mary Lee) Abel of Yazoo City, MS., six grandchildren & six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Max Schiele Sr., her parents Elijah & Nona Abel Sr., one daughter Patricia Ann Bailey, one sister Patricia Sultan, two brothers John F. Abel & Elijah Green Abel Jr.

Mrs. Willie Mae Lutts, age 89, passed away early Tuesday morning at her daughter's residence in Crowder, MS. The family will receive friends at a catered reception from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home on Wednesday March 08, 2017 and an additional visitation starting  10:00 a.m. until service time beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 09, 2017 in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home. Interment to follow Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, MS.

Mrs. Lutts, a cook and homemaker was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hinchcliff, MS.

Surviving Mrs. Lutts are five daughters, Ruby Golden (Lesley) Holmes of Rossville, TN., Betty Golden Jenkins of Marks, MS., Wanda Lutts (Don) Omedeo of Lamar, MS., Nancy Lutts (George) Cook of Crowder, MS., Frances Lutts Phillips of Batesville, MS., two sons Billy (Becky) Golden of Randleman, NC., and Roy Lutts of Batesville, MS., one sister Minnie Pearl Harvey of Drew, MS., special family friend Ashley Goodwin, nineteen grandchildren and a host of Great & Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jake Lutts, her parents Charlie & Mamie Morgan, three sons Gary Vernon, Robert Lewis & J.C. Golden, five brothers Truman, John, J.D., Dewey, Charles "Shorty" Morgan, one sister Mamie Charlene Golden, one great-granddaughter Shelby Leigh Golden.

Mrs. Ernestine "Granny" Black, age 84, passed away Friday evening March 03, 2017  at her residence near Crowder, MS. The family will receive friends at Crowder Baptist Church in Crowder, MS. on Sunday March 05, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Lambert Cemetery.

Granny retired from Garan Inc. after thirty-one years of service. She was a devoted mother and family woman. She was a friend to all who knew her and a loving "Granny" to many. She was a woman of God with a true servant's heart and a member of Crowder Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Black are two daughters Pat Maddox of Florine, LA., Debbie (Johnny) Johns of Lambert, MS., one son David Black of Crowder, MS., one sister Betty  (Pat) Malone of Darling, MS., five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Black, her parents W.S. & Eva Black and one son Glen Black.

Mr. Glenn Bruce, age 50, passed away Friday evening March 03, 2017 at his residence in Locke Station. Mr. Bruce was the owner of Bruce Trucking and a member of Locke Station Baptist Church.

Mr. Delbert Ray Smith

Mr. Delbert Ray Smith, age 71, passed away on Thursday morning March 02, 2017 at his residence in Lambert, MS. The family will receive friends at a catered reception on Saturday March 04, 2017  from 10:00 a.m. until the service time beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment to follow in Magnolia Garden Cemetery in Paynes, MS.

Mr. Smith, a retired road manager and receiving clerk for Quitman County, a member of First Baptist Church in Lambert, MS., was also a Volunteer Fire-fighter for 22 years in which 20 of those years he served as the secretary.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Dixie Smith of Lambert, MS., one daughter Susan (Shelton) Hawkins of Batesville, MS., four sisters Sue (Richard) Sumner of Oakland, MS., Patricia (Tom) Brumbelow of Walls, MS., Linda Gail (David) Crabtree of Fouke, AR., and Barbie (Roy Dale) Bray of New Boston, TX., two brothers Terry Wayne (Becky) Smith of Batesville, MS., and Larry Smith of Annona, TX. Two grandchildren Brit Smith and Tyler Hawkins of Batesville, MS., and one great grandchild Jayden Smith of Batesville, MS also survive Mr. Smith. Mrs. Betty Eidt

Marks, MS

Mrs. Betty Eidt, age 76, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2017 at her home in Marks, MS. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 02, 2017 at Marks Presbyterian Church from 12:00 p.m until the Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Eidt was a retired bank teller of the loan department at Citizens Bank & Trust Co. in Marks, a graduate of Gulfport High School and attended Mississippi University for Women & Delta State in Cleveland MS. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers, reading books and bird watching.

Mrs. Eidt is survived by her college sweetheart of Fifty-five years, James Eidt Sr. of Marks, MS., two daughters Laurie (Roger) Craig of Marks, MS., Mary "Madie" (Doug) Daniel of Ashdown, AR., and one son James "Beau" (Sheri) Eidt of Daphne, AL., one sister Virginia ( Bobby) O'neal of Cleveland, MS., four grandchildren J.R. & Sarah Craig, Mary Utz and Madison Eidt. She was preceded in death by her parents David & Mary Turner and one sister Mary Laurie Barbour.
