Mrs. Zelma Louise Cook, age 69, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Marks, MS. Family will receive friends at a catered reception on Tuesday, September 01, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept 02, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS.

Mrs. Cook was the cafeteria manager for Quitman County High School for 21 years and is survived by her husband, Charles Cook of Marks, MS; daughters, Mary (Terry) Franklin of Sledge, MS, Pam (Lawerence) Kerr of Harrison, AR; brothers, Harvey (Sibil) Matthews of Senatobia, MS, Thomas (Thella) Matthews of Sledge, MS; three grandchildren, D.J. and Josh Roberson and James Kerr and five great grandchildren Braylen, Raven, Makenzi and Jacob Roberson and Tyler McCullar.

Mrs. Norma Jeanette Whittenberg

Marks, MS

Mrs. Norma Jeanette Whittenberg, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Austin, TX. Family will receive friends at a catered reception on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Kimbro Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 pm. Interment will follow at Marks Cemetery.

Mrs. Whittenberg was a retired secretary  and is survived by her sister, Geneva (Pittman) Keen of Greenville, TX and brothers Billy (Betty) Collins of Marks, MS and Larry Colllins of Batesville, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Whit Whittenberg, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dawson Collins and brothers Eckford Collins and Dan Collins.

Mr. John Wayne Lee

Marks, MS

Mr. John Wayne Lee, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Marks, MS. Family will recieve friends at a catered reception on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 pm. Interment will be held at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS.

Mr. Lee was  retired from Valley Food Service in Batesville, MS. He is survived by  his sisters, Geneva & the late Jimmy Boyette of Pope, MS, Ola Mae (Glen) Washington of Pontotoc, MS, Ophelia (Calvin) King of Oakland, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mosby & Leola Lee; wife, Bonnie Lee; brothers, RM Lee Jr., Edward Isac Lee and James William "Buddy" Lee and sister, Gladys Olene Irving.

Special thanks to Teresa Parker for taking such wonderful care of Johnny and to a special nephew, Randy Boyette, who lived with and cared for Johnny for several years.

Mr. Winter was a retired farmer and member of Faith Baptist Church in Lambert, MS. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Winter of Batesville, MS, daughter Michelle (Rusty) Brower of Batesville, MS; son Kevin (Cathy) Winter of Batesville, MS; sisters Patsy (George) Wilson of Tupelo, MS, Tennie Winter of Tupelo, MS, Joan (Harvey) Bobbitt of Tupelo, MS; grandchildren Kayla (Jason) Sergent and Karsyn Brower and three great grandchildren, Jayden King, Tinsley Sergent and Nellie Rustyn Sergent. Mr. Wiley Boone Tallant, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 08, 2015 in Bruce, MS. Mr. Tallant was a farmer and is survived by his daughters, Judy (Don) Rogivue of Corinth, TX, Martha (Chason) Tutor of Algoma, MS; sons Danny (Tammy) Tallant of Bruce, MS, Terry (Shelia) Tallant of Banner, MS, Ricky (Cathie) Tallant of Bruce, MS; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lucille Crocker Tallant and Hazel Carr Tallant.

Mrs Mary Oliver Clay Wadlington, age 96, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 in Clarksdale, MS. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 03, 2015 at Marks Presbyterian Church from 10 :00 am until 11:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held at Marks Cemetery.

Mrs. Wadlington was a music teacher and homemaker. She was also the church organist for Sledge Methodist Church, a Sunday School teacher and a member of United Methodist Women. She is survived by her daughters Mary Jane (Scott) Thompson of Richmond, VA, Frances (John) Wallace Sr of Suwanee, GA; sons Warner (Melanie) Wadlington of Sledge, MS, Thomas Clay (Sarah) Wadlington of Southaven, MS; sister Alice Clay Smith of Novi, MI; brother Thomas Franklin (Lynda) Clay Jr. of Monticello, MS; nephew Kent(Lisa) Waldington of Germantown, TN; 12 grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bedford Warner Wadlington Jr. (Pete), parents Dr. Thomas Franklin & Delia Clay, and sisters Delia & Helen.

Ms Anita Hamilton Collins, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Batesville, MS. Family will receive friends at Lambert Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be held at Lambert Cemetery.

Ms. Collins was a retired school teacher from Quitman County School system and a member of Lambert Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons Benny (Joan) Hamilton of Sardis, MS, Sidney (Leagh) Hamilton of Hartselle, AL; sisters Evelyn Morton of Shreveport LA; brother Azariah Thomas Adams Jr. of Lambert, MS; five grandchildren, Harley Hamilton of Kansas City, KS, Aaron Hamilton of Oxford, MS, Jay Hamilton of Hartselle, AL, Cassandra Hamilton of Harstelle, AL, Joshua Hamilton of Hartselle, AL and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Ora Adams and sister Margaret Ruth.

Mr. John H. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church of Marks with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be held at Crowder Cemetery.

Mr. Hester was a retired school bus mechanic from Magnolia Sales in Batesville, MS and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Marks. He is survived by his daughter Renita (Marvin) Bolen of Olive Branch, MS; son Randy Hester of Marks, MS; brothers O.D. Hester of Myrtle, MS, Donald (Ruth) Hester of Barnet, TX, L.D. (Bonnie) Hester of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jennifer Copeland of Southaven, MS, Amanda Pearson of Coldwater, MS, Christian Hester of Marks, MS and two great grandchildren, Anna Hale of Senatobia, MS amd Kaleb Mullins of Southaven, MS . He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Mollie Hester, daughter Phyllis Hester, son Jamie Hester and sisters Louise Province and Frances Switzer.

She is survived by her daughter, Ceasley Channing Gentry of Marks, MS; father, Travis Selby of Marks, MS; sister Tammy Selby of Marks, MS; special great nephew, Peyton Selby of Marks, MS and cousin, Pam Selby Weaver of Marks, MS. She was preceded in death by  her mother, Anne Selby , two brothers, Danny Gene Selby and Kerry Allen Selby, niece, Leslie Jill Dulog and nephew, Michael Shane Shelby.

Mr. Bobby J. Wilson, age 68, was retired from Bunge Corp. Mr. Wilson passed away July 9, 2015 in Southaven, MS. The Family will receive friends at a catered reception Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Kimbro Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cold Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Wilson of Sarah, MS; his daughters, Wanda (Lonnie) Stafford of Clarksdale, MS; Tracy Wimberly of Sarah, MS; and Phyllis (Vic) Mayo of Senatobia, MS; and his son, Bobby Clay (Monica) Wilson of New Albany, MS.  Also surviving Mr. Wilson are his sister, Louise Thompson of Oxford, MS and his brother, Thomas (Linda) Wilson of Plantersville, MS; Twelve Grandchildren and Thirteen Great Grandchildren.  Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Wilson; Five Sisters; Half-brother, Upton Wilson and grandson, Bobby Joe Wilson (BJ).
