Mrs. Ruby Mills Parker

Eupora, MS

Mrs. Ruby Mills Parker, age 77, passed away Tuesday evening at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 beginning 11:00 a.m. at Crowder Cemetery with interment to follow.

She loved sewing, cooking and reading. Mrs. Parker was a retired School Teacher and Food Service Director for Leflore County School System.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter Anna Parker of Eupora, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband L.W. Parker, parents Rubel & Loyce Mills, one son Robbie Parker, two sisters Reba Hunt & Nina Joyce Paschal, and one brother Keith Mills.

Deputy James E. "Jimmy" Clark

Crowder, MS

Quitman County Sheriff Deputy James E. "Jimmy" Clark, age 50, passed away early Sunday morning, August 13, 2017 due to a car accident while in the line of duty near Falcon, MS. There will be a private family visitation on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 12 o'clock noon until 1:30 p.m. and a public visitation from 1:30 p.m. until service time beginning 3:00 p.m. at Madison Shannon Palmer (Quitman County) High School in Marks, MS. Interment will follow in Crowder Cemetery.

Deputy Clark's many years of Law Enforcement included seventeen years with Lexington Nebraska Fire Department, EMT with Nebraska Fire Department, Crowder Police Department 2010-2015, Crowder and Lambert Fire Department 2010-present , Quitman County Sheriff Department 2015-present.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hermanda Macknally Clark of Crowder, MS., one daughter Khymberly Lambert Teppert of Wheatland, WY., one son Andrew McLaren of Spearfish, ND., two God children Thomas James Patrick & James Isaac Jarrett of Crowder, MS., his parents Myron & Belinda Witt of Chugwater, WY., one sister Dawn Darnell (Kyle) of Casper WY., two brothers Kenny Clark of Chugwater, WY., Jerry Witt of Cheyenne, WY., grandfather James Field of Chugwater, WY., four grandchildren, one niece Kimberly Rae Witt of Chugwater, WY. He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher Clark.

Miss Vester Lillian "Lil" Hyde, age 91, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence in Crowder, MS. Lil was a retired member of The Women's Air Corp. Avid fan of basketball, bowling and softball. She had a love for fishing and her fish were always bigger than yours. She was a member of Friendship East Baptist Church of Charleston, MS.

Survivors include her half-brother Loys Marberry (Kay) of Crowder, MS.,  care givers  Marie Carlisle of Charleston, MS., Teresa Parker of Crowder, MS., her best friend Joyce Dent of Hallsville, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Kimbrough & "Aunt Myrtle" Weaver Hyde.

Mr. Wiggs, an avid fisherman, hunter, mechanic, carpenter enjoyed helping others with his many skills.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bryant & Vara Cobb, one step-son Cory Sayles and three brothers Kenneth, Hubert & Chuck Cobb.
