Mr. Kirby L. Elliott

Marks, MS.

Mr. Kirby L. Elliott, age 84, passed away Monday afternoon January 16, 2017 at Grace Health & Rehab in Grenada, MS. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time beginning 2:00 p.m. at Tillatoba Baptist Church in Tillatoba, MS. Interment will follow in Belen Cemetery, Belen MS.

Mr. Elliott may best be recognized as a long time barber of "Kirby's" in Marks, MS. He was an avid coon and squirrel hunter and loved his dogs. When he was not cutting hair or hunting, you could find him in the garden growing vegetables that he loved to give away.

Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife, Lorine Elliott of Tillatoba, MS., two daughters Robin (Jack) Wright of Dallas, TX., Susan (Greg) Collins of Sardis, MS., one step-daughter Teresa Price of Huntsville, AL., one son Kirby Elliott Jr. of Senatobia, MS., two step-sons Melvin & Doyle Price of Huntsville, AL., one sister Patsy Howe of Marks, MS., Four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a hosts of sister & brother in laws, nieces & nephews also survive Mr. Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis & Alice Elliott, son Todd Elliott, step-son Kenny Price, sisters Jeanette Stovall and Dixie Barrentine.

Mrs. Vera "Jean" Miller, age 79, passed away Thursday morning January 05, 2017 at her residence in Marks, MS. The family will receive friends at Belen Baptist Church on Sunday January 08, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Belen Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was a member of Belen Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter Leslie Miller of Batesville, MS., three sons Scotty (Roxanne) Miller Of Hudson, MI., Kenneth Miller of Marks, MS., and Keith (Jennifer) Miller of Senatobia, MS., one brother Jimmie(Bobbie) Dickey of Southaven, MS. Fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband David W. Miller parents, Chester & Etoile Dickey, one daughter Rhonda Miller, one son Charles Michael Miller and two brothers Chester Roland Dickey Jr. & Billy Lamar Dickey.

Mrs. Taylor, a lifelong member of Lambert United Methodist Church, graduated from Mississippi College for Women, Columbus, MS, also retired as Medical Tech for Dr Lewis H. Cook, Lambert, MS.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters, Nettie (Joel) Rivers, Batesville, MS, Lucy Taylor, Marks MS;  one sister, Jane Lamar Moore, Pascagoula, MS;  six grandchildren, Brett (Corie) Rivers, Hernando MS, Joel (Amy) Rivers, Batesville, MS, Taylor (Emily) Rivers, Batesville, MS, Erica (Matthew) Garrett, Dundee, MS, Jasper (Nicole) Cobb, Starkville, MS, Jacob (Jessica) Cobb, Fort Drum, NY, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bailey was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a two term Justice Court Judge for Desoto Co.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife Lois Bailey of Southaven, MS., three daughters Diane (Ralph) Miller of Southaven, MS., Teresa (Wayne) Hargett of Charleston, MS. and Becky Bailey (Tony Berry) of Southaven, MS., one sister Rena Hoover of Sacramento, CA., five grandchildren Robby Hargett of Oxford, MS., Andrew Hargett of Hot Springs, AR., Amanda Miller of Southaven, MS., Rachel Miller of Southaven, MS. and Jessica Evans of Cordova, TN.
