Mr. Andrew "Jack" Moore

Marks, MS

Mr. Andrew "Jack" Moore, age 97, passed away Friday evening October 20, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 24, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until service time beginning 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment to follow in Lambert Cemetery.

Mr. Moore, a retired Lieutenant of Memphis Defense Depot,a crappie fisherman, and loved to bird hunt.

He is survived by his son Ted Moore of Vinemont, AL, one brother Shorty McNew and his wife Vonell of LA, one grandson T.J. Moore of Vinemont, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Moore, his parents Hosea & Alvie McNew, one daughter Barbara Ann Moore, one sister Evelyn Weeks and two brothers Gilbert & Wayne Moore.

Mr. Allen Hall Anglin

Mr. Allen Hall Anglin, age 78, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Quitman County Health & Rehab in Marks, MS. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time beginning 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. Interment will follow Longtown Cemetery, Longtown, MS.

Mr. Anglin, a retired carpenter, enjoyed yard work and riding to Crowder, MS. Church was his main focus and he was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Those whom he left to cherish his memory include his wife Wanda Faye Jones Anglin of Crenshaw, MS; two daughters Wanda Bailey of Locke Station, MS; Lisa Webb and her husband John of Crenshaw, MS. Four grandchildren, Crystal Bailey of Marks, MS; George Lewis "Bubba" Bailey of Batesville, MS; Rodney Anglin & Bradley Anglin both of Crenshaw, MS; three great grandchildren, Sierra Patton of Alabama; Millie Anglin of Crenshaw, MS and Georgia Lee Bailey of Batesville, MS. A host of Niece & Nephews also survive Mr. Anglin. He was preceded in death by his parents Travis & Rosa Anglin, one son James Anglin, three sisters Pauline Moore, Katherine Cozart, Sue Peavy and four brothers Travis, Frankie, Ernest and Jimmy Anglin.

Mary Josephine “Jo” White Warrington

 

Jo Warrington

 

Jo went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2017 in Fayetteville, Georgia.  She was born in Quitman County, Mississippi, on November 29, 1933, to Henry Earl White and Ollie Stribling White.   Before moving to Fayetteville, GA to be closer to family, she was employed at the Chancery Clerk office for Quitman County.  She was also a legal secretary for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy White. She is survived by three daughters, Susie Brown and Marsha McKibben of Fayetteville, GA and daughter Chris Warrington of Memphis TN, and five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Marjorie Harrison of Jackson, MS, and Betty Morris of Clinton, MS and brother, Allen White, of Sugarland, TX.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn.  A memorial service was held on September 23, 2017 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, where Jo was a member for twelve years.

A graveside service will be held on October 14, 2017 2pm at Marks Cemetery.  In event of bad weather, the service will be held at Kimbro Funeral Home, 2nd Ave., Marks, MS.

Mrs. Frances Louise Newman, age 75, passed away Wednesday, October 04, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. There will be a Graveside service beginning 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 07, 2017 at Marks Cemetery in Marks, MS. Interment will follow in Marks Cemetery.

Mrs. Newman was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her daughter Rhonda Newman of Memphis, TN; three sons Nathan Newman of Batesville, MS; Gary Newman of Sardis, MS; David Newman of TX; one sister Mary McDaniel (James) of Houston, MS; three brothers Louis Cotten of Bruce, MS; Floyd Harris (Lynn) of Bruce, MS; Wayne Harris (Dawn) of Pontotoc, MS. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Newman. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Newman, her parents Clifton Cotten and Mayda Scott, two daughters Janice & Cathy Newman and one brother James Cotten.

Mrs. Earlean Hancock Rodgers, age 86, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, September 28, 2017 at her residence in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS. An additional visitation will be held on Sunday, October 01, 2017 from 1:00 until service time beginning 2:00 p.m. at Locke Station Baptist Church in the Locke Station Community. Interment will follow in Marks Cemetery.

Earlean was a retired beautician, loved her family, grands and great grands, enjoyed playing piano in church when needed, faithful member of Locke Station Baptist church where she served in many positions including Sunday School Teacher.

Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Fran Locke (Royce), Nancy Howell, Peggy Elliott (Jimmy) all of Batesville, MS., one son William "Bubba" Rodgers of Marks, MS., eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her husband, L. W. Rodgers, Jr.; parents, John and Willie Hancock; one brother, Alfred Hancock.

Mrs. Cleo Mills

Brandon, MS

Mrs. Cleo Mills, age 90, departed this life on  Thursday September 14, 2017 at Brandon Court Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. A memorial service for Mrs. Mills will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Mills was born on May 2, 1927 to Henrietta & William Foster.  She was a wonderful example to those who loved her, a hard worker, and her many hobbies included gardening, flowers, crocheting, and crafts. She made many sacrifices for her family, was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend  and showed unconditional love.She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Mrs. Mills lived in the Birdie community, but in the last few years her residence was in Brandon, MS.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Johnson (Jackie) of Brandon, MS., two sons Timothy Thompson (Donna) of Brandon, MS., Ed Walls (Donna) of Austin, TX., daughter in law Nancy Roy (Sam) of Oden, AR. Seven grandchildren Tim, Matt, Jessica, Amber, Laura, Patrick & Anna, five great-grandchildren Olivia, Callan, Chandler, Charlianne, & Carter also survive Mrs. Mills. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
