Hunter Elijah Emery, age 2 months, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 in Memphis, TN. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Community Independent Baptist Church from 5:30 pm until service time the following day. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Community Independent Church with interment to follow at Lambert Cemetery.

Hunter is survived by his mother, Samantha Russell of Lambert, MS, father Jessie Emery of Lambert, MS, paternal grandparents, James & Heather Emery of Lambert, MS; maternal great grandfather, Raymond (Ruby) Roberson of Lambert, MS; maternal great grandmothers Loretta Russell and Jane Roberson and paternal great grandparents Paul & Gaynell Emery of Crowder, MS and David & Debra Pruett of Memphis, TN. Hunter was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jimmy Ray Russell and Betty Jane Bell and paternal great grandmother Audrey Pruett.

Mrs. Dora Melton, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 in Tupelo, MS. Family will recieve friends at a catered reception on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 12:30 pm  until 3:00 pm at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm.  Interment will be held at Brazil Cemetery in Brazil, MS

Mrs Melton was a retired cashier and a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters Debra (Stanley) Holland of Drew, MS, Cindy Sparks of Pontotoc, MS, Lilly Bowman of Pontotoc, MS, Linda Dyess of  Ft Polk, LA, Mary Ruth Pugh of Churchhill, TN ; sons Ricky (Renea) Melton of Pontotoc,MS, Randy (Bobbie) Melton of Coffeeville, MS, John (Wanda) Melton of Clarksdale, MS, Tracy (Ashley) Melton of Carrollton, MS, Charles Melton of Jackson, MS, Gary Melton of Clarks, LA; sisters Betty Jo Hutchinson of Greenwood, MS, Evelyn Chandler of Southaven, MS; nineteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, two great-great granddchildren and special friend L.V Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Melton, parents George & Hattie Chandler and daughter Bonnie Melton.

Mr. Veston L. George

Mr. Veston L. George, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 06, 2015 in Southaven, MS. Family will receive friends at a catered reception on Friday, January 09, 2015 from  12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 2:oo p.m. with interment to follow at Marks Cemetery.

Mr. George served in both the United States Air Force & Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired pilot of Five Star Manufacturing in Clarksdale, MS, a member of West Marks Baptist Church and the Clarksdale American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Polly Moyer George of Batesville, MS, daughter Sabrina George Austin of Batesville, MS; sons Michael Wayne George of Pearl, MS, Kim Lee George of Brownwood, TX; stepson Michael B. Emison of Lambert, MS; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rowdy & Evelyn McCarty.

Mr. David Earl Davis, age 74, passed away on Saturday, January 03, 2015 in Memphis TN. He is survived by  his daughter Patricia Jones of Batesville, MS; sons James Earl Davis of Batesville, MS, Louis Davis of Oakland, MS; brothers Marvin Davis of Water Valley, MS, Dwight Davis of Sledge, MS; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs Martha Jane Vance

Marks, MS

Mrs. Martha Jane (Cissye) Vance of  Vance, MS, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 02, 2015 in Senatobia, MS. A service will be held on Sunday, Jan 04, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Marks Presbyterian Church. After the service, family will receive friends at James & Val Burgess' home at 2:00 p.m. for a reception.

Mrs. Vance was a homemaker and a member of Marks United Methodist Church. She was a member of numerous clubs such as the Marks Garden Club and the Coahoma Women's Club. She also served as President of Cotton Wives and she was den mother to the Marks Cub Scouts.

Mrs. Vance is survived by her husband, E.Q. Vance Jr. of Vance, MS; sons Earl Quimby Vance III of New Orleans, LA, Weston Shaw Vance of Carbondale, CO; and one granddaughter, Florence Corrine Vance of Oxford, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Weston Sr. & Alice Shaw and brother William Weston Shaw Jr.

Mr. William Aldridge

Mr. William  Aldridge, age 35, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Memphis, TN. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church in Lambert, MS. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church with the  funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Marks Cemetery.

Mr. Aldridge was a truck driver for R & R Express in Courtland, MS and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Meg Aldridge of Courtland, MS, son Cody Aldridge of Courtland, MS, daughter Hailie Aldridge of Courtland, MS, stepdaughter Mary Elizabeth Farish of Courtland, MS; sister Tracy (Russell) Parsons of Marks, MS,  nieces Madyson & Allana Parsons, both of Marks, MS and his mother Louise Aldridge of Marks, MS.  He was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Aldridge, sisters Elizabeth Ann Aldridge and Terrye Lynn Aldridge, and brother James Wesley Aldridge.

Mr. Michael Derrick Cook, age 33, passed away on December 13, 2014 in Marks, MS. Family will receive friends at Goodwill Church of God  on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 6:00 pm until service time on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Services will be held at Goodwill Church of God with interment will to follow at  Curtis Union Cemetery.

Mr. Cook was employed at Reed Farms and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Curtis Station. He graduated from North Delta School and then attended Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he received  his Associates Degree in Tool & Die. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Carol Cook of Marks, MS, sister Michelle (Chris) Aldridge of Batesville, MS, brother Dalton Cook of Marks, MS, nephew Christopher Aldridge of Batesville, MS and nieces Carley, Stella and Madeline Aldridge of Batesville, MS. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vera & Carlyle Whitworth and his paternal grandparents, Leona & D.C. Cook.

Mr. Bridges was a farmer and a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church. William Malcom Bell

Marks, MS

Mr. William Malcom Bell, age 93, passed away on December 09, 2014 in Hiawassee, GA. Graveside visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Lambert Cemetery at 1:30 pm with graveside services beginning at 2:00 pm.

Mr . Bell resided in Chatague Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee, GA, served in the United States Army, was employed as a farm worker and attended Goodwill Worship Center in Marks, MS. He is survived by his stepdaughters, Shirley Blevins of Conyers, GA, Betty (Leroy) Powers of Oxford, MS, Joyce Drew of Oxford, MS, Anita Clemonts of Sardis, MS; stepsons Eddie (Donna) Gant of Young Harris, GA, Marvin Gant of Chicago, IL; sisters Sally White & Sadie Rodgers of Hurley, MS;  daughter in laws, Irene Gant Smith and Judy Gant; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Marie Bell, parents William and Hattie Morgan Bell, brothers Ruben and TB Bell, four stepchildren and three grandchildren.
